"International War-crimes Tribunal" financed by the United States Government and US Multi-Nationals

21/4/2001
by Michel Collon It`s as if Washington itself were to try Milosevic! The "Tribunal" is only interested in putting Milosevic on trial – not Sharon, nor Pinochet nor the Murderer Generals from Turkey: Is it impartial? Financed by the United States government and by American millionaires, it refuses to investigate the war-crimes committed by NATO and by the Albanian terrorists: Is it independent? Its modus-operandi throws overboard numerous principles of law: Is it legal? We have a portrait of a very bizarre "Tribunal"..Should Milosevic go on trial in the Hague? Whatever your opinion of the former President of Yugoslavia (and on the people really responsible for the wars in the Balkans) should he not have the same right as any other man to be tried by a fair and neutral tribunal that … [read more]

By Casimir Malanda, 9 February 2001Joseph Kabila faces terrible dangers and unforeseen opportunities I`ve lived in Kinshasa the last six months of Kabila. The murder of the President was hanging in the air, so to speak. In view of the anarchy installed at the state, in view of the incompetence and carelessness reigning in the close circles around Mzee, it had to arrive sooner or later. Kabila was condemned by history to fall as a martyr, exactly like Lumumba. The outcome of these two men is so alike that it becomes troublesome. Both men were standing almost alone in their struggle to awaken and mobilise the Congolese people. But the tragedy seemed inevitable since between these two heroes and the people there was an empty gap. And the population was due to assist passively at the slow … [read more]

It has been impossible to establish realistically the death-toll resulting from the 1965-1966 massacres, as Soeharto`s military regime has firmly discourage any such efforts. A kind of state terror together with his military and hangmen was exercised to silence public opinion and independent research.
